Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Prepare, review and enter customer invoices, journal entries and other accounting documents.
§ Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts.
§ Review Sales Tax charged on customer invoices, reconcile sales tax with Sr. Accountant.
§ Follow up on past due receivables.
§ Coordinate the confirmation reporting of intercompany receivable transactions with parent companies.
§ Review job and project costing, work with internal teams to ensure accuracy.
§ Responsible for accurate inventory item master.
§ Conduct physical inventory counts.
§ Resolve accounting discrepancies by working with other departments and customers.
§ Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
§ Actively participate in forecasting and annual budgeting.
§ Responsible for customer master, credit limits and credit checks.
§ Explain accounting policies to staff and customers.
§ Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
§ Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
§ Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
§ Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
§ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar degree, required.
§ 0-2 years of related work experience.
