Duties and responsibilities related to the Barista role

• Knowledge of content and method of preparation of all beverage items in the menu

• Accountable to assist in all preparation required prior to opening.

• Responsible to ensure correct stock is requisitioned, checked, and stored in the bar.

• To monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage.

• Responsible to ensure cleanliness of bar is maintained including fixtures and fittings.

• Assisting guest’s during their stay and handling guest complaints

• maximizing revenue opportunities through up selling

• Providing all required information about the Hotel, available services, and facilities

About you

Previous experience in a barista, café, food & beverage, or hospitality role is preferred. You are passionate about coffee and delivering exceptional guest service, with a friendly and professional approach. You have strong communication and organisational skills, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and can remain calm under pressure. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and cash handling is an advantage. You are confident using point-of-sale systems, and you take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer experience.
