Take the lead in launching and managing branch operations within a service-oriented, hands-on environment. As Branch Operations Manager, you will oversee daily mulch installation activities across multiple job sites, ensuring teams, equipment, materials, and logistics work together seamlessly. You will play a key role in driving productivity, maintaining high installation standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Through effective planning, team leadership, and cost management, you will help strengthen operational performance and customer satisfaction. This role offers the opportunity to improve processes, develop employees, and establish consistent operating standards. The ideal candidate brings strong management experience, practical problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:

You will lead branch operations from workforce planning and equipment coordination to quality assurance, cost control, and process improvement, ensuring efficient and reliable service delivery.

    • Oversee daily mulch installation operations across multiple job sites.
    • Plan and coordinate crew schedules, truck routes, equipment allocation, and material deliveries to maximize productivity.
    • Ensure mulch installation meets required depth, coverage, appearance, and site standards.
    • Conduct and coordinate pre-job and on-site inspections to verify site readiness, access, safety conditions, and project scope.
    • Monitor labor hours, equipment utilization, and project progress to keep work on schedule and within budget.
    • Maintain operational readiness of mulch-blowing equipment, trucks, hoses, and support tools through inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs.
    • Enforce safety procedures covering vehicle movement, hose handling, equipment operation, lifting, heat exposure, and other job-site hazards.
    • Train and develop team members in installation quality, operational efficiency, equipment care, and customer service.
    • Track material consumption, waste, and inventory levels to support accurate ordering, cost control, and project profitability.
    • Oversee day-to-day business operations to maintain efficiency, consistency, and alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Develop, implement, and refine operational processes, policies, and standard operating procedures.
    • Collaborate with department leaders to improve coordination, workflows, and overall service delivery.
    • Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership capabilities, strong organizational skills, and experience managing operations in a green industry or service-based environment.

      • Several years of management experience, preferably in landscaping, the green industry, or service-based operations.
      • Experience coordinating teams, schedules, equipment, materials, and logistics across multiple job sites.
      • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
      • Understanding of operational performance, labor productivity, cost control, inventory management, and job profitability.
      • Ability to establish and maintain quality standards and operational procedures.
      • Commitment to workplace safety, equipment maintenance, and compliance with job-site safety practices.
      • Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to train, motivate, and develop employees.
      • Practical problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
      • Ability to coordinate effectively with different teams and ensure consistent service delivery.
      • Benefits:

        • Compensation based on experience.
        • Opportunity to lead and develop operations for a newly established branch.
        • Hands-on leadership role with responsibility for operational performance, team development, and process improvement.
