About the role

Location: New York, NY

Work Model: In-office (5 days per week, Flatiron)

Industry: Payroll & back-office software for startups

Compensation: $215K-$260K OTE

About the Company

Our partner builds a payroll and back-office suite for startups, helping founders run the operational side of their companies. They are a Series A company with a team of roughly 40-45 people, based in New York and growing quickly.

The Opportunity

As the first Channel Partnerships hire, you will build the partner program from scratch and own one of the company's highest-leverage growth initiatives. You will report directly to company leadership, with significant ownership and scope that expands as the channel grows.

You will build relationships with the trusted advisors who serve founders, including accounting firms, benefits brokerages, fractional HR leaders, and executive advisors, and turn those relationships into a repeatable source of revenue. This role suits someone who identifies problems and solves them without waiting for direction.

Responsibilities

  • Design and launch the channel partnerships program from the ground up
  • Identify, recruit, and activate partners across accounting firms, benefits brokerages, fractional HR leaders, and executive advisors
  • Build executive-level relationships with partner leadership
  • Create the playbooks, incentives, and processes that make partner-sourced revenue repeatable
  • Partner with sales and leadership to convert partner referrals into customers
  • Track partner performance and revenue contribution, and scale what works

Requirements

  • 5+ years in partnerships, business development, sales, or another GTM role
  • 3+ years building or managing strategic partnerships
  • A partner or channel program you personally created or meaningfully scaled, with revenue attached
  • Strong executive relationship-building skills and high agency
  • Excitement about working in person in New York five days per week
  • Bonus: startup experience, B2B SaaS sales-led background, or partnerships with accounting or fractional HR firms
