• The Pastoral Care team provides services at Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East and Freeman Neosho Hospital
• Chaplains are able to provide an important part of healing through assessing spiritual needs for our patients and families
• Join a team that provides care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

Schedule

On-call, as-needed only. 30 minute call-back requirement.

What You'll Do

Staff chaplains work as members of the health care team for the well being of the whole person and for the general improvement of the overall health of the community. Staff chaplains work to create a person oriented environment in order to meet the non-medical needs of patients, their families, and staff, by offering spiritual and emotional care regardless of race, socio-economic status, or religious affiliation.

Requirements

• 30 minute call-back requirement: must be able to respond to calls to both the Freeman Neosho Hospital and Freeman West campus in Joplin, MO within 30 minutes of initial call.
• Experience as a minister in a church or experience as a hospital or hospice chaplain.
• Ordination, licensure, or official letter of affiliation with documented credentials/experience from a recognized religious body.

Preferred Qualifications

• One Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Three years' experience as a minister in a church, or one year experience as a hospital or hospice chaplain.
