What You'll Do

As a CDL Driver, you'll help keep our projects moving by safely delivering materials and equipment to jobsites.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely operating company commercial vehicles to deliver materials and equipment.
• Learning and following assigned delivery routes and instructions from dispatch.
• Working with dispatchers to make timely deliveries.
• Loading, unloading, and properly securing cargo.
• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate activity and hours-of-service logs.
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Keeping your assigned vehicle clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Reporting mechanical issues, delays, road incidents, or other concerns to dispatch or management.
• Using GPS, smartphones, electronic logging/AVL equipment, and other technology.
• Following traffic laws, company safety procedures, and applicable FMCSA requirements.
• Communicating professionally with dispatchers, supervisors, customers, and jobsite personnel.
• Working safely around construction equipment, traffic, and active jobsites.
• Performing other duties as needed to support the team.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• No manual-transmission restriction on CDL; must be able to operate a manual-transmission vehicle
• Current medical certificate/DOT medical qualification
• Must meet FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass required MVR and controlled-substance testing
• Ability to meet company requirements for background and driving-record checks
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical & Work Requirements

• This is an active, hands-on driving position. You must be able to:
• Drive for extended periods
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Frequently lift 50+ pounds
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Work from truck beds and elevated platforms
• Use your arms, hands, and legs repetitively
• Work outdoors in changing weather conditions
• Work safely around construction equipment, moving vehicles, traffic, fuel fumes, and construction materials
• Maintain awareness of your surroundings in active construction zones
• Read road signs, instructions, reports, manuals, and construction plans
• Hear approaching vehicles, alarms, verbal instructions, and other audible warnings
• Complete required paperwork and communicate clearly with supervisors and team members

Schedule

• Our drivers need to be flexible. The position may include:
• Day or night shifts
• Weekends and holidays
• Overtime
• Changing schedules based on project and delivery needs
• Local and occasional long-distance/interstate travel
