CNC Maintenance Operators

Currently hiring 3rd shift CNC Maintenance Operators in Apple Creek, OH. As a CNC Maintenance Operator you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Werag CNC machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production. The ideal CNC Maintenance Operator candidate will have hands-on CNC machine experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform routine maintenance, identify equipment issues, and maintain consistent product quality.

Location: Apple Creek, OH
Pay: $25 - $35/hour,plus per diem/travel time mileage reimbursement for qualified travelers
Duration: 6 weeks
Schedule: 3rd shift, 8 hours a day, for 7 days
Job Type: Contract - 6 weeks

CNC Maintenance Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain Werag CNC machinery to ensure efficient production and quality standards.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, and machine adjustments.
• Troubleshoot machine issues, identify potential problems, and help minimize downtime.
• Set up machines, adjust settings, and monitor production processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment issues.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

CNC Maintenance Operator Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in CNC machining or industrial maintenance preferred.
• 3+ years of experience operating and maintaining CNC machinery.
• Werag CNC machine experience preferred; similar CNC equipment experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, machine settings, and tooling adjustments.
