Commercial Signage Carpenter

Skillforce is hiring Commercial Signage Carpenters for ongoing project work in Richmond, Virginia. As a Commercial Signage Carpenter, you will be responsible for blocking and signage install on a nine-story building. If you hold a current boom lift card and read construction drawings, apply now!

Commercial Signage Carpenter Pay:

• $30.00 to $36.00 per hour, set within that range based on your commercial carpentry experience.
• W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.
• Carpenters with mid-rise or high-rise blocking and signage experience are considered for the top of the range.

Commercial Signage Carpenter Schedule:

• Monday through Friday on a standard morning shift.
• Steady work on one nine-story commercial building in Richmond, Virginia.
• No regular nights or weekends.

Commercial Signage Carpenter Responsibilities:

• Read construction drawings and signage plans to lay out blocking and sign locations on your own.
• Lay out blocking accurately and attach it securely to the supporting structure.
• Install building-mounted signage clean, plumb, and level without damaging finished surfaces.
• Operate a boom lift safely to do productive work at height on interior and exterior elevations.
• Follow all jobsite safety procedures and keep your work area clean and organized.

Commercial Signage Carpenter Qualifications:

• Experience as a commercial carpenter, including layout, blocking, and metal stud framing.
• Ability to read construction drawings and install independently from dimensions.
• A current boom lift certification or operator card is required.
• Comfort doing productive work at significant heights, including exterior facade work.
• Experience with millwork, doors and hardware, or specialties installation is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and show authorization to work in the United States.
