About the Role:

Skillforce is seeking Concrete Laborers for a project in Manassas, VA. The ideal candidate has experience with preparing job sites, building forms, mixing and pouring concrete, and assisting skilled tradespeople with finishing and curing structures like sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and foundations.

Pay and Schedule:

Pay: $26-$28 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in concrete work or general construction labor.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in concrete finishing or related construction trades.
• Experience operating concrete-related machinery such as mixers and power trowels.
• Familiarity with reading construction plans and blueprints.
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour safety training.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare construction sites by cleaning and setting up forms and molds for concrete pouring.
• Mix, pour, spread, and level concrete using hand tools and machinery to create floors, sidewalks, and other structures.
• Assist in finishing concrete surfaces by smoothing, troweling, and applying curing compounds to ensure proper setting.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as concrete mixers, vibrators, and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.
