Blueprints is hiring a Head Start Cook at our Donora Location
This position is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals in compliance with CACFP requirements while maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment. Duties include planning food quantities, ordering and storing food and supplies, preparing and cooking meals, monitoring and documenting food temperatures, accommodating special dietary needs, and completing all required CACFP records and documentation. The role also supports healthy eating practices by modeling appropriate behaviors for children and assisting during meal service. In addition, responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, including kitchens, classrooms, entryways, and restrooms. The position requires regular attendance, participation in required meetings and trainings, obtaining and reporting Non-Federal In-Kind contributions, and serving as a resource to Blueprints service areas by supporting staff training, client services, and community outreach efforts.
