Description

Now Hiring: Cosmetology Educators!

  • Full-Time Daytime Educator: Must be available to work Saturdays.

We are seeking enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate Cosmetology Educators to inspire, educate, and mentor our students as they prepare to launch successful careers in the beauty industry.

What You'll Do:

  • Teach assigned cosmetology classes under the direction and support of the Education Coach and Program Team Lead.
  • Educate students in hair theory, cutting, styling, chemical services, treatments, products, techniques, and professional practices.
  • Create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to learn, grow, and build confidence.
  • Demonstrate and reinforce proper sanitation, safety, infection-control, and professional practices.
  • Monitor student sanitation and ensure compliance with school standards throughout the day.
  • Evaluate student work and provide timely, constructive feedback that supports continued growth.
  • Stay current on emerging hair trends, products, techniques, technology, and evolving industry standards.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while modeling the ethical standards expected of beauty professionals.
  • Manage classroom activities effectively while maintaining a positive, organized, and professional learning environment.
  • Ensure students understand and follow school policies, procedures, and applicable state regulations.
  • Encourage students through constructive coaching, accountability, and recognition of their progress.
  • Serve as a positive role model, mentor, and source of inspiration for students beginning their careers in the beauty industry.
  • Collaborate with the education team to support student success and contribute to a strong learning culture.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active Michigan Cosmetology license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional behind-the-chair experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to serve as a positive role model while holding students accountable to professional standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and professional school environment.
  • Passion for helping others learn, grow, and succeed.
