Culinary Chef - Community Cook

Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. | Full-Time

We’re looking for a Culinary Chef / Community Cook to join our Culinary Services team and help prepare quality meals our residents can look forward to.

What You’ll Do

As a Culinary Chef / Community Cook, you’ll help prepare and serve meals while ensuring our residents’ individual nutritional and dietary needs are met. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, and other menu items
• Following standardized recipes, menus, portion sizes, and special dietary requirements
• Baking breads, rolls, pastries, and other items
• Portioning and serving meals to residents
• Following proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, cookware, utensils, and work areas
• Maintaining food and storage records in accordance with company guidelines
• Monitoring and inventorying kitchen supplies and equipment
• Helping ensure kitchen equipment and work areas remain clean, organized, and functional
• Working alongside your team to create an enjoyable dining experience for our residents

Qualifications

• Can read and follow standardized recipes
• Is willing to learn food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures
• Works efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail
• Enjoys working as part of a team
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment
• Is dependable and ready to contribute wherever needed

One year of related cooking or food service experience is preferred.
