  • Ensure full compliance with DOT/FMCSA rules and regulations, including HOS, ELD requirements, driver qualification files, and drug & alcohol testing programs.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by reducing incident/accident rates, ensuring successful roadside inspections, conducting DMS meetings, enforcing pre- and post-trip inspections, and performing safety audits.
  • Maintain and monitor CSA scores and proactively address compliance risks.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze capacity utilization, performance metrics, and KPIs, implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Drive execution against core KPIs in safety, service, savings, and people.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, tenders, and peak management projects.
  • Identify supply chain opportunities and participate in Lean Six Sigma and other improvement programs.

Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration

  • Work closely with service providers to ensure punctuality, completeness, and quality of deliveries.
  • Manage third-party performance and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Financial Acumen & Budget Management

  • Build and provide full-cost analysis, including yearly budget, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage the Delivery Labor Budget, approve payroll, and drive the lowest cost per case through productivity plans and loss prevention.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 delivery drivers.
  • Interview, onboard, and develop direct reports through multiple formats (classroom, OJT, ride-alongs).
