About the role
|
At Traditions, we celebrate our Nation’s early history by making the most of our Farm to Table program. With this, we supply our restaurant with fresh, seasonal ingredients, many of which are harvested from the ninety acres of gardens in the Colonial Williamsburg Historic Area. This practice is reminiscent of tavern kitchens, which depended on local farms and gardens to provide the heirloom fruits and vegetables included in traditional colonial fare. At Traditions, our Chefs continue the timeless custom of Farm to Table by sourcing local foods from family farmers, cheese makers, beekeepers and fishermen in our neighborhood. |
Requirements:
- Applicants must be 18 years of age according to Virginia Code § 4.1-307
- Previous server experience
- Demonstrated excellent personal contact skills
- Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: (1) bending, lifting and carrying loads of up to 50 pounds
- Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County food handler’s card and TIPS® certification; applicants with an active card and certification should be prepared to present both during the interview process
Note:
In accordance with Virginia A.B.C. § 4.1-225 Colonial Williamsburg prohibits employment of anyone in an alcohol serving position who has been convicted of a felony, any crime involving moral turpitude (lying, cheating, or stealing), or a drug-related offense within the past five (5) years.
