The Opportunity As a Senior Systems Engineer in our End User Computing division, you will take ownership of our global digital workplace infrastructure, ensuring seamless and secure experiences for our workforce. Your primary technical purpose is to design, implement, and automate advanced endpoint management solutions across macOS, Windows, and Linux environments. You will architect robust device lifecycle processes, integrate cutting-edge AI tools, and solve complex endpoint challenges. By driving zero-touch provisioning and maintaining stringent security postures, you directly empower our teams to operate efficiently and support Nutanix’s broader mission of making hybrid multicloud simple.

 

About the Team You will be joining the Digital Workplace Experience and Apps team, a specialized engineering sub-group dedicated to evolving how Nutanix employees interact with their technology daily. Our team thrives on a culture of technical mentorship, autonomy, and collaborative problem-solving, moving beyond traditional IT support to function as true platform engineers. We are a tight-knit group that values proactive automation over reactive firefighting, fostering a supportive environment where diverse perspectives drive innovation. We prioritize continuous learning and empower every engineer to own their solutions from end to end.

 

In this role, you will report directly to Huy Nguyen, Manager of EUC Engineering. Huy is known for a leadership style that emphasizes hands-on mentorship, strategic trust, and career development. He empowers his team to make critical architectural decisions and provides the necessary air cover to focus on deep engineering work rather than administrative overhead. Under his guidance, you will have the autonomy to build impactful automation and the support to grow your technical expertise across complex, enterprise-scale environments.

 

This position requires 0% travel. Your focus will be entirely on engineering, automating, and maintaining our core endpoint computing platforms from your primary hybrid workspace without the burden of regional travel requirements.

 

Your Role

 

• Manage and architect advanced endpoint management platforms, primarily Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro.

• Drive process automation utilizing API integrations and scripting to enable zero-touch provisioning and automated patching.

• Enforce and manage stringent security compliance standards, including the deployment and oversight of FileVault and BitLocker.

• Administer and integrate workflows within ServiceNow to streamline end-user experiences.

• Serve as the definitive Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex, systemic endpoint challenges.

 

What You Will Bring

 

• 5+ years of dedicated experience in End User Computing or Systems Engineering.

• Proven expertise in administering and architecting solutions within Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro.

• Strong proficiency in scripting and API integrations for process automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).

• Demonstrated experience managing OS security features such as FileVault and BitLocker.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex, Tier 3 architectural issues across macOS and Windows environments.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $104,000 and USD $208,000 per year.

Work Arrangement Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Vancouver, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
