F&B Runner & Busser

Position Summary

The Runner is responsible for ensuring food is delivered quickly, accurately, and safely from the kitchen to guests. This position also serves as an Expediter and To-Go Specialist, coordinating communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, verifying order accuracy, packaging takeout orders, and maintaining high standards of food presentation and guest satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform all duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service in an efficient manner.
• Follow all policies, procedures and service standards.
• Deliver food orders promptly and accurately to guests.
• Expedite orders by coordinating with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
• Inspect completed dishes for accuracy, quality, and presentation before leaving the kitchen.
• Communicate special requests, modifications, and order updates between the kitchen and service staff.
• Organize and prioritize food orders during peak service periods.
• Package and prepare takeout and delivery orders according to restaurant standards.
• Verify all to-go orders for accuracy, including food items, condiments, utensils, and beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo and takeout stations.
• Assist servers by clearing and sanitizing tables, refilling supplies, and supporting guest service needs.
• Complete all opening,running, and closing assigned sidework tasks.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, hospitality, or restaurant experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in high-volume environments.
• Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and management.

Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
• Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
• Must possess or be able to obtain an SNHD Health Card.
