Description

At TIGRIS Aquatic Services, we believe that healthy waters lead to thriving communities. We're seeking a driven Field Technician (Lake and Pond Management) to join our growing team of environmental professionals. Together, we provide essential top-tier surface water management solutions across the US.

We provide lake and pond management services, wetland restoration, and stormwater solutions to private homeowners, lake associations, golf courses, governmental entities, and many more. Your role will be pivotal in managing client accounts, conducting waterbody assessments and applications, and leading field operations to deliver outstanding results. If you're ready to make a positive impact on our most precious natural resource alongside a driven team of like-minded individuals, we want to hear from you!

The Field Technician (Lake and Pond Management) is responsible for managing a subset of the office's accounts, including scheduling, routing, and customer service. The Field Technician conducts service visits—performing waterbody assessments and applications of aquatic herbicides and algaecides—while also directing and supporting field technicians to ensure quality and efficiency across all managed accounts. This role requires becoming a certified applicator and maintaining expertise in the treatment and maintenance of lakes, ponds, and other water bodies. Additional duties include controlling algae and nuisance aquatic vegetation, installing and maintaining fountains and aeration systems, conducting water quality testing, and permit compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client accounts, including scheduling, routing, and ongoing customer service
  • Conduct waterbody assessments and determine appropriate treatment plans
  • Perform applications of aquatic herbicides and algaecides to lakes, ponds, and other waterbodies
  • Direct and support field technicians in daily service operations
  • Conduct service visits personally while ensuring team productivity and quality standards
  • Assist with fountain and aeration system installation and maintenance
  • Assist with water quality testing and diagnostics
  • Operate trucks, boats, ATVs, and handheld spray equipment in various outdoor environments
  • Communicate effectively with clients and deliver excellent customer service
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments, assessments, and services performed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Georgia Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (General Standards and Category 26)
  • Strong work ethic with a passion for working outdoors
  • Good math and science skills
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize scheduling and routing effectively
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and carry a 40-lb. backpack sprayer throughout the day on uneven terrain
  • Comfortable working around waterbodies in variable weather conditions
  • Must have an excellent driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug screening (Drug-Free Workplace)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with aquatic vegetation control and the use of aquatic herbicides/algaecides
  • Experience with fountain and aeration system installation and maintenance
  • Experience conducting waterbody assessments and developing treatment plans

Schedule:

Typical work hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Hours may vary during peak season. The Field Technician may also be required to work occasional nights or weekends for client meetings.
