About Us
Purpose Brands 414 (PB414) is a faith-based nonprofit organization that creates and stewards redemptive initiatives where people experience dignity, hope, and the love of Jesus.
Through initiatives that currently include Beautiful Lives Thrift Boutique, Bold Lives Men's Thrift, and Thrift Out, we create ministry opportunities that meet tangible needs, restore communities, develop leaders, and faithfully steward resources for lasting Kingdom impact.
Our vision is to see every person flourish in relationship with Jesus.
Internship Overview
This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit grant research and funding strategy while contributing meaningfully to PB414’s growth and impact. Working closely with the Development Director, you’ll research potential funders, evaluate opportunities, and build a qualified grant pipeline for current and future needs.
This is a great opportunity for students interested in nonprofit management, business, communications, research, finance, social impact, or related fields.
- Location: Flexible/hybrid, with opportunities to work from PB414 Purpose Hub, 2209 Hawk’s Landing, Fayetteville, AR
- Time: 10–15 hours/week preferred; flexible based on availability
- Start: Immediately
- Reports to: Development Director
What You’ll Do
Research & Identify Opportunities
- Research foundations, corporations, community foundations, government programs, and other potential funding sources.
- Identify local, regional, statewide, and national opportunities.
- Look beyond open grants to identify funders worth cultivating for future opportunities.
- Explore funding related to PB414’s programs, operations, expansion, capacity building, and community impact.
Evaluate & Qualify
- Review eligibility, funding priorities, geographic restrictions, award amounts, deadlines, and application requirements.
- Research funders’ giving history and typical awards.
- Evaluate how well opportunities align with PB414’s mission, needs, and strategic priorities.
- Distinguish between opportunities that simply exist and those that are genuinely worth pursuing.
- Make recommendations based on your research.
Build the Grant Pipeline
- Create and maintain an organized pipeline of current and prospective funding opportunities.
- Track key information, deadlines, status, and priority level.
- Provide concise summaries of high-potential opportunities and explain why they may or may not be a good fit.
- Help develop tools, processes, and documentation that make grant research more effective and sustainable.
As you gain experience, you’ll take increasing ownership of research priorities and projects rather than simply completing assigned tasks.
What You’ll Gain
