Industrial Insulators

UIG is hiring experienced Industrial Insulators for immediate project needs. Candidates must have hands-on experience installing industrial insulation and be available to mobilize quickly to project sites.

What You’ll Do:

• Measure, cut, shape, and install insulation on piping, vessels, ductwork, and industrial equipment.
• Work with materials such as fiberglass, mineral wool, foam glass, and calcium silicate.
• Install insulation using adhesives, mechanical fasteners, bands, and other approved methods.
• Ensure proper fit, seal, vapor protection, and moisture control.
• Remove damaged or existing insulation when required and prepare surfaces for new installation.
• Coordinate with scaffold builders, metal cladders, and other trades.
• Use knives, saws, hammers, tape measures, and basic power tools.
• Work safely at heights and in confined-space environments when required.
• Follow 100% tie-off and all site safety requirements.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, hazards, or incidents.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on industrial insulation experience.
• Knowledge of industrial insulation materials and installation methods.
• Experience measuring, cutting, fitting, and securing insulation.
• Ability to use common insulation hand tools and basic power tools.
• Understanding of proper fit, sealing, vapor barriers, and moisture control.
• Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, and work in physically demanding environments.
• Ability to work safely at heights and around industrial equipment.
• Ability and willingness to travel to project sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1–3+ years of industrial insulation experience.
• OSHA 10 or equivalent training.
• Fall protection training.
