Industrial Painter - Sandblaster – Night Shift | $19–$23 per hour

Location: Mayfield, KY 
Pay: $19–$23 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM (Initial training on day shift)

Job Overview

Impact Workforce Solutions is recruiting experienced Industrial Painter / Sandblaster in Mayfield, KY for hands-on work with locomotives and heavy industrial equipment. Ideal candidates bring industrial spray painting, abrasive blasting, metal surface preparation, and protective coating experience. The position also includes physically demanding industrial cleaning duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply primer, color coats, and clear coats using pressurized paint pots and conventional cup spray guns.
• Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, sanding, masking, taping, and applying bonding materials.
• Perform abrasive blasting on large metal components using industrial equipment, including 2-inch hose systems.
• Apply decals and stickers to finished surfaces.
• Pressure wash locomotives and manually shovel, scrape, and remove accumulated sludge and debris.
• Follow safety procedures, maintain equipment, and meet finish-quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Industrial painting experience on metal, such as trucks, trailers, automotive equipment, bridges, structural steel, or heavy machinery.
• Experience with spray guns, metal preparation, and multi-stage coating processes.
• Sandblasting experience, preferably on large equipment or structures.
• Ability and willingness to perform demanding cleaning duties in dirty industrial environments.
• Availability for initial day-shift training and the Monday–Thursday overnight schedule.
• Ability to complete job-related pre-employment medical evaluations, including respirator fit testing and additional testing specified by the client.
