Your work will directly support Heathrow’s strategic goals, from enhancing operational efficiency to enabling cutting-edge digital services for millions of passengers. Success in this role means delivering robust, scalable solutions that meet business needs today while anticipating tomorrow’s challenges.

  • Design and maintain data centre infrastructure architectures, ensuring alignment with Heathrow’s technology strategy and business objectives.
  • Lead the development of roadmaps for infrastructure platforms, including Windows and non-Windows servers, virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix), and storage solutions (SAN and SAN Fabrics).
  • Provide governance and assurance for technical designs, ensuring compliance with Heathrow standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical, cost-effective solutions and influence technology decisions.
  • Engage with third-party vendors to manage technical relationships and ensure service quality.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale infrastructure solutions within complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre technologies, including virtualisation platforms, storage systems, and server infrastructure.
  • Ability to develop and maintain architectural roadmaps and technical standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing technical decisions.
  • Sound understanding of governance, compliance, and security principles in technology design.
  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

    Ideally you'll have the following:

  • Experience with cloud integration and hybrid infrastructure models.
  • Familiarity with airport or transport industry systems and processes.
