About the role

The Kathryn Wasserman Davis School of Russian announces openings for temporary Instructor of Russian. The position is available during the summer 2027 session on the Middlebury College campus in Vermont. Our unique program combines a cultural immersion environment with rigorous daily classroom instruction. This is an opportunity to join a community of learners, by actively engaging in teaching, dining, and residing with students while reading, writing, and speaking exclusively in Russian. Our instructors provide four hours of classroom instruction. In addition, participation in pre- and post-session assessment testing and cultural programming is required. Openings could potentially be at all levels of language instruction.

Compensation will be determined on an individual basis as discussed with the Language School director.

Review of applications will begin in November 2026, and only complete applications will be considered (see instructions below). Interviews on Zoom with selected candidates will be scheduled soon thereafter. This is a temporary position for 2027 summer session only (June 16, 2027 - August 13, 2027)
