  • Lead pilot runs and scale‑up activities, ensuring smooth transition from prototype to full‑scale production.
  • Maintain and calibrate test hardware, ensuring accuracy and repeatability of measurements.
  • Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for R2R testing.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Provide technical training and mentorship to production operators and junior engineers.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to test throughput, yield, and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout testing activities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing or test engineering, preferably with roll‑to‑roll processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Python, or MATLAB).
  • Hands‑on experience with test fixture design, instrumentation, and automation.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to conduct root‑cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills across multidisciplinary groups.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, ISO/TS 16949, and automotive safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Ford internal security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
