  • Utilize PDM systems for managing design documents and data (Product Center experience preferred).
  • Create detailed work instructions, training materials, and procedure sheets for production teams to ensure a smooth transition of products to manufacturing.
  • Design and conduct validation and verification testing for electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
  • Prototype, test, and iterate designs, moving products from concept through first-article builds and into production.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles, including waste elimination, 5S, standard work, and value stream mapping, to optimize production processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to meet project timelines and support process improvements.
  • Create product specifications, select raw materials, and oversee component procurement for production.
  • Provide technical documentation and assist in project management for various engineering projects.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field (required); Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing (experience in a manufacturing plant is preferred).
  • Proven experience with SolidWorks (required).
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Product Center, or equivalent ERP and PDM systems.
  • Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems and compressed air pneumatic systems (preferred).
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, change management, and transitioning designs to production.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects, ideally with project management experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clearly present technical data.
  • Ability to build prototypes and oversee validation processes.
