About the role

Mechanical Engineer – Multibody Simulation

This is your chance.

With over 30 years of experience in the development of software & digital products, Jungheinrich offers a broad portfolio and comprehensive expertise in the areas of warehouse, fleet, device, process, and interface management. Our solutions cover all aspects of intralogistics and adapt flexibly to the requirements of our customers. Our international colleagues work across locations on modern and future-proof digital systems for the flexible interconnection of warehouse components, from hardware to software.

Set things in motion.

  • Development of modular full-vehicle multi-body simulation models, based on component libraries and subsystem models.
  • Perform multi-body simulations of full-vehicle dynamics, including the derivation of dynamic loads for downstream finite element analyses.
  • Perform stability analyses for different types and configurations of industrial trucks.
  • Analyze simulation results to identify critical system behavior, load paths, sensitivities, and optimization potential, and develop improvement proposals in close collaboration with development engineers.
  • Validate and correlate simulation models against physical test data.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations and communicate simulation results, assumptions, limitations, and recommendations to engineering and project stakeholders.

Use your skills.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, computational engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Professional experience in multi-body simulation of vehicles or other complex mechanical systems. Experienced candidates as well as junior engineers with a strong relevant background are welcome.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-body simulation software, preferably MSC Adams.
  • Programming and scripting skills, preferably Python and/or MATLAB, for simulation automation, model generation, data processing, and post-processing.
  • Experience with finite element analysis and CAD systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical results clearly to engineering and project stakeholders.
  • Strong written and spoken English; German is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to Germany approximately 2–3 times per year.

Gain more.

  • Attractive salary depending on your qualifications and experience
  • Flexible working hours and the opportunity of working from home
