Full-Time Hours available Tues-Saturday at Philadelphia Women’s Center. Our Center has delivered excellence in abortion and reproductive healthcare since 1972. In this fast-paced medical environment team members are committed to advocating and caring for women seeking legal, safe, compassionate abortion care, in addition to assistance for adoption services and prenatal care.
Responsibilities include (Experience in one or more preferred):
- Pre-procedure vitals, basic lab work
- OR assistance in set up, during procedures and in transporting patients
- Recovery Room assistance including vitals
- Responding to patient needs by offering fact-based education, supportive counseling and community resources
- Serving as an advocate to patients, their partners and families, providing referrals when necessary
- Running basic lab tests for iron level and Rh – no special experience needed – only requires High School Diploma
Our team welcomes committed, experienced Medical Assistants with a strong work ethic, excellent patient care skills, sense of humor and a desire to be a part of a team. The right candidates want to work with a diverse patient population, can multi-task and appreciate being challenged by a fast-paced work environment.
- Basic computer skills (EHR experience a plus!)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- SEEKING Bilingual candidates - Staff members who speak more than one language interpret for non-English speaking patients and their loved ones throughout their experience
