Description

Who We Are

KidneySPA is a premier dialysis provider dedicated to delivering innovative kidney care with compassion. We create a comforting, welcoming experience for patients while supporting their health and quality of life. Our team brings our mission, Healing with Hospitality, to life every day.

About the Role

As a Medical Receptionist, you’ll help set the tone for each patient’s visit and keep important clinic operations running smoothly. You’ll be a central point of contact for patients, visitors, team members, and community partners—combining warm, attentive service with accuracy and organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome patients and visitors and provide a courteous, helpful front-desk experience.
  • Answer and direct calls, coordinate appointments, and assist with transportation arrangements.
  • Collect and update patient information, including intake details, demographics, insurance, and emergency contacts.
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits when needed.
  • Keep patient and administrative records organized and handle information in accordance with HIPAA and privacy requirements.
  • Track attendance and follow up on absences, late arrivals, and post-hospitalization needs.
  • Communicate with transportation providers, referring offices, and other partners to support continuity of care.
  • Prepare documents and packets for clinic staff and assist with general office duties.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff and other KidneySPA departments to support patients and improve the overall experience.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of front-desk or medical receptionist experience; clinical or dialysis experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Comfort handling multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, electronic health records, and common office technology.
  • An understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • A dependable, proactive, and patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced clinic.
  • Ability to travel locally and, as needed, up to 10% across the U.S.

Bilingual English/Spanish skills are strongly preferred. An associate degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is also preferred.

If you enjoy helping people and take pride in making every interaction feel welcoming, we’d love to hear from you.
