Office and Production Assistant

About the role

The Music and Performing Arts Department is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Student Worker with a positive attitude to support a variety of administrative and hands-on production assistant functions. This position is ideal for a student with a passion for the performing arts who is looking to gain valuable experience in arts administration and/or production.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Bethel Student
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
• Interest or background in music, theatre, or performing arts preferred

Work Environment:

Work takes place at a desk in office as well as in performance venues at Bethel and spaces throughout the 3900 complex. Stage performance-oriented tasks exposed to loud music and theatrical lighting and stage performance environment.

Physical Demands:

Administrative tasks seated at desk and using computer. Filing music, printing and assembling programs and hanging posters. During productions intense physical activity setting up staging or set building. Lifting heavy materials sometimes required.

Expected Hours of Work:

Regular weekly schedule is flexible around student class schedule. Evenings and weekend hours are sometimes needed for some events. During large productions additional extended work hours are needed and availability for these is preferred.
