Tasks & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC grinding machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and quality specifications.
- Perform wheel mounting, dressing, and balancing activities.
- Load, edit, and run CNC grinding programs.
- Monitor grinding parameters and optimize cycle times.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and TPM activities.
- Follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Report machine, tooling, or quality issues to the supervisor.
Profile & Requirements
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in CNC cylindrical grinding operations preferred.
- Experience in precision component manufacturing is an advantage.
- Experience operating or similar CNC cylindrical grinding machines.
- Knowledge of external, internal, and universal grinding processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Proficient in using micrometres, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Understanding of grinding wheels, dressing methods, and machining parameters.
