About the role

Description

At Trident Anesthesia Group, the work behind the scenes matters just as much as the care delivered at the bedside. We’re an independent, physician-owned anesthesia practice with deep roots in the Charleston community and a team that supports one another in serving patients across the Lowcountry.

Join a collaborative, hands-on administrative team where your skills make a visible difference. As our company grows, we’re looking for people who take pride in their work, enjoy helping others succeed, and want to be part of a group that values reliability, initiative, and genuine teamwork.

We’re seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Payroll & Administrative Coordinator to provide payroll and accounting support, along with credentialing and general administrative assistance. Payroll and accounting are the primary focus of this position; credentialing and administrative tasks are secondary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with accurate, timely payroll processing and related recordkeeping.
  • Provide accounting support, including data entry, invoice and expense processing, account documentation, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized and accurate electronic and paper records.
  • Support provider credentialing by tracking applications, licenses, certifications, expirations, and required documentation.
  • Help coordinate credentialing submissions and follow up with providers, facilities, and other contacts for outstanding information.
  • Provide general administrative support, including correspondence, document preparation, and filing.
  • Communicate professionally, follow through on requests, and meet deadlines.
  • Handle payroll, financial, personnel, and credentialing information confidentially.
  • Perform other duties that support the administrative team.

Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Schedule: Full time

Requirements

Payroll and accounting experience or knowledge is required.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with numbers and confidential records.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and the ability to learn new software and systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting payroll, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or related accounting functions.
  • Experience with credentialing, healthcare administration, or maintaining licenses and compliance records.
  • Experience with payroll or accounting software.
