  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients on materials performance, corrosion management strategies, asset integrity, life-cycle management, and risk mitigation.

  • Support proposal development, technical bid evaluations, and scope definition for materials and metallurgical work.

  • Participate in key technical workshops, HAZOPs, constructability reviews, and client technical governance forums.

Engineering Execution & Oversight

  • Oversee and provide expert input into:

    • Materials selection diagrams and specifications

    • Corrosion control and mitigation strategies

    • Equipment design criteria and material standards

    • Welding specifications and fabrication requirements

    • Mill test report reviews and quality assurance processes

  • Provide interdisciplinary input to ensure materials and corrosion considerations are fully integrated into mechanical, piping, process, and structural designs.

  • Support constructability, operability, inspection, and long-term asset integrity objectives.

Coaching, Mentorship & Capability Building

  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Senior, Intermediate, and Junior Engineers within the metallurgy and materials discipline.

  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex problem solving and failure investigations.

  • Contribute to the development of internal technical guidance, training materials, and discipline knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Support the growth and long-term technical capability of the metallurgy and materials engineering function within Worley.

Site & Operational Support

  • Conduct site visits to operating facilities, fabrication yards, and construction sites to provide expert technical support and field-based problem resolution.

  • Support troubleshooting of in-service issues including corrosion, materials degradation, and fabrication non-conformance.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, regulatory, and quality requirements while operating in industrial environments.

What You Will Bring
