Purpose

Perform civil/structural design work from conceptual design to detailed design of onshore manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities

· Prepare civil/structural design 2D drawings and 3D models based on engineering information, site data and customer requirements for:

o Civil/structural general arrangement

o Structural pipe supports, pipe racks, platforms, building and equipment supports, lift arrangements, paving/grading, underground pipe, foundations, etc

· Prepare structural Material Take-offs

· Provide technical support to the project team

· Determines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros/cons for multiple solutions, and makes recommendations to support official project documents such as technical queries, technical deviations, etc

· Coordinate with structural engineering team and gather information from other disciplines, with knowledge of the impact of other disciplines design data on structural design

· Seeks input from knowledgeable sources, considers safety, constructability, operability, and maintainability into design

· Other responsibilities include preparing as-built drawings, design and detailing new components from previous designs

· Work with global integrated delivery team (GID)

Minimum Tasks

· 3D Model

o Create 3D model to Client Specifications

o Ensure objects are placed in correct hierarchy

o Ensure all attributes are set

o Complete Modeling Checklists

o Run Clash Check and resolve all clashes before submitting check prints

o Run MTO/Weight reports for Structures in an area

· Develop 2D Drawings

o Develop all necessary drawings and details to ensure complete fabrication

o Complete Checklists

o Ensure drawings incorporate all engineering review comments

o Ensure drawings incorporate all Client review comments

o Ensure all drawing attributes are set

Qualifications

· A diploma in Engineering design and drafting or equivalent

· Strong working knowledge of PDMS/E3D and AutoCAD – Minimum 5 years’ experience

· CADWorx experience is a plus

· Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices for the control, development, and application of deliverables

· Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

· Fluent in English with excellent
