The Opportunity

Ulan Surface Operations Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Process Manager. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee all coal processing and water management operations including but not limited to Run-of-Mine (ROM) from receival through to train loading, export logistics, operation of reverse osmosis plants, complex pumping infrastructure and storage dams.

In this leadership role, you will drive production and quality targets while championing a high-performance safety culture built on teamwork, personal accountability, and core company values.

Responsibilities of the role include:

·         Provide leadership and direction to a team of Superintendents, Engineers, Supervisors and Operator/Maintainers.

·         Developing and mentoring co-workers.

·         Maintain a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.

·         Provide technical guidance to maintenance activities to provide a high standard.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

·         Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.

·         Hold relevant qualifications (mechanical, chemical or process engineering) working in the minerals process industry.

·         Previous experience in the coal mining industry.

·         Proven experience leading teams through high volume processing activities.

·         Demonstrated commitment to a high performing safety culture.

Ulan Surface Operations Pty Ltd is part of the Ulan Coal Complex and supports two highly productive Underground Mines – Ulan Underground and Ulan West. Ulan Surface Operations Pty Ltd coordinates approximately 11 million tonnes of saleable coal per annum and employs 110 people of the approximate 700 within the complex.
