About the role
Position purpose:
To process all stock movements, maintain an accurate record of stock, and facilitate monthly and quarterly stocktakes.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Update accurate stock costing and assist in preparing custom entries and invoices for payment.
- Perform receipting for stock received into the Stores.
- Ensure orders are delivered on time, and attend to staff requirements at the counter.
- Update the goods receipt report and distribute to Managers/ for decision-making.
- Ensure all stock issues, transfers, and stock take inputs are completed on time with 100% accuracy.
- Assist the Stores Supervisor to organise and efficiently store inventory in the Warehouse
- Ensure that staff are satisfied with the service provided in Stores.
- Seeks professional development avenues to advance skill & expertise.
- Compliance to STCL Values, Policies and Procedures
- Alignment and adherence with governance policies, processes and standards and with external regulatory requirements.
- Identify risk and security issues within processes and determine remediation plans
- Assist Stores Supervisor and Management Accountant with annual external audit.
Requirements
Competency (Skills, Knowledge & Experience):
- 3 years minimum of work experience
- Required system knowledge
- Asycuda, Greentree, Microsoft Office Applications (eg Excel, Outlook)
Mandatory Certification:
- Bachelor's in Accounting from a recognized tertiary institution
Other Requirements:
- Valid driving license
