About the role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the next stage of growth for our product: Tradesignal. Tradesignal is our analysis, visualisation, and strategy development platform and allows users to go from an idea to something that can trade autonomously in a few, simple, steps. This is a senior, strategic and commercially aware product role. Working closely with Business Development in Europe and globally, you will identify where Tradesignal creates distinctive value today, how that value can translate into new markets and customer segments, and what Trayport should build next.
You will develop a deep understanding of why trading firms use different forms of market analysis and how those needs vary across firms, desks and workflows. By connecting insight from clients, prospects, commercial teams, product usage and the wider market, you will identify patterns that point to scalable opportunities rather than responding to each request in isolation.
You will set strategic direction and drive product discovery, prioritisation and delivery, turning complex and sometimes conflicting requirements into an achievable programme of work and helping teams make coherent choices at each stage.
Alongside the long-term strategic work you will also be responsible for ensuring that the product continues to meet the evolving needs of our existing customers within European power and gas markets.
Responsibilities
- Core responsibilities: The Senior Product Manager will have three core responsibilities:
- Identify and execute growth strategy for Tradesignal into new customer segments.
- Take ownership of the product roadmap ensuring the initiatives in progress are successful as we complete them and roll out across customers. You will work closely with sales and client engagement to help with early sales and use feedback to prioritise subsequent phases of work.
- Work closely with support teams and existing customers to understand how their needs continue to evolve and maintain client satisfaction with the product.
- Customer and market understanding: Establish effective working relationships with clients and prospects. Identify common problems faced by our clients across requests and distinguish scalable market needs from one-off customisation.
- Product strategy and growth: Own and communicate Tradesignal's long-term direction, choosing where to focus across markets, customer segments and workflows in partnership with Business Development.
- Commercial outcomes and alignment: Agree appropriate customer and commercial success metrics with all internal stakeholders, such as adoption, retention and revenue contribution. Use these metrics to keep the team focused on delivering the vision.
- Prioritisation and delivery: Turn complex customer, market and commercial signals into clear product choices, a well-sequenced roadmap and an achievable programme of work. Make trade-offs explicit and work closely with engineering to guide delivery.
- Opportunity validation: Test demand, customer value and commercial viability for new opportunities before committing significant delivery investment. Consider AI only where it could solve a real customer problem.
- Product advocacy: Explain and demonstrate Tradesignal clearly and credibly in customer conversations, proposition testing and prototype reviews, and use what you learn to refine product direction.

- Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct customer discovery and prospects, document what you learn, communicate recommendations clearly in writing and discussion, and set realistic expectations
