About the role
Description
Responsible for the programming of production orders for processing departments.
Essential (primary) functions include but are not limited to:
- Convert customer drawings into part files for programming in software package.
- Communicate and follow up with customers and/or sales department, to gain complete understanding of product requirements.
3. Program production orders on various types of machines, using software programming package.
4. Modify and revise programs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
5. Ensure quality and integrity of parts programmed, as well as programs themselves.
6. Work with Sales Department to provide material utilization and run times of programs for quoting purposes.
Requirements
Required education/work experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
· Solidworks and Autocad skills a plus
·
Necessary (required) skills:
- Detail oriented and demonstrate good organization skills
- Must possess good written and verbal communications skills
- Must have at minimum basic skills in Microsoft Suite, intermediate preferred
