Additional responsibilities include quotation support, routine engineering analysis, detailed layout/mechanical design and operations support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute multiple projects involving new pump assemblies, rotor assemblies, spare parts and repair jobs for various customers.

  • Review Bills of Materials, engineering drawings and procurement requirements to identify missing, incorrect or unclear items before purchase orders are issued.
  • Raise and coordinate purchase orders for castings, machined components and other sourced parts in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to clarify technical requirements, drawings, specifications, quality requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Follow up actively with vendors to ensure materials and documentation are delivered on time; identify and escalate risks that may affect project delivery.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Commercial, Operations, Quality, Procurement and Logistic teams to support smooth project execution.
  • Lead or participate in internal order handover meetings, project kick-off meetings, technical review meetings and customer progress meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, action trackers, order status updates and delivery plans.
  • Prepare repair quotations, including costing, scope of work, lead time, exclusions and additional scope requirements.
  • Support the review of customer technical specifications, contractual terms and conditions, inspection and test requirements, and quality documentation.
  • Prepare or coordinate project documentation such as Inspection and Test Plans, project schedules, vendor document submittals and customer documentation.
  • Review vendor documentation, including Welding Procedure Specifications and Procedure Qualification Records, where required.
  • Coordinate predefined routers and work instructions with planners, workshop supervisors and operations teams for repair jobs.
  • Communicate professionally with customers on project status, delivery commitments, technical clarifications and delivery extension requests where required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure products and services are delivered to customers on time and in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
  • Candidates with relevant experience in rotating equipment, pumps, manufacturing, precision engineering, marine, oil and gas, chemical/process, power generation or water industries will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project engineering, project coordination, aftermarket operations, manufacturing, supply chain or repair-related activities.
  • Experience with pumps, rotating equipment, rotor assemblies, castings, machining processes or equipment repair is preferred.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Materials and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and procurement of castings, machined parts and other engineered components.
  • Experience in reviewing customer purchase orders, contractual terms and conditions, and technical documentation.
  • Exposure to quotation preparation, repair costing and additional-scope management is preferred; training can be provided.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel; experience with project schedules and order tracking is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with API, ISO, NACE and ASME standards is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of project documentation such as ITPs, quality plans, vendor document registers and vendor WPS/PQR documentation is preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Able to lead or participate effectively in customer and internal project meetings.
  • Collaborative team player and self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
