Southern Health Partners (SHP) is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP) to provide mental health services to individuals within the correctional healthcare setting at Marathon County Jail in Wisconsin.

What You’ll Do

• Provide psychiatric assessment, evaluation, and treatment for patients within the correctional setting.

• Assess mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Manage psychiatric medications and monitor treatment effectiveness as clinically indicated.

• Collaborate with healthcare staff to support continuity of care and positive patient outcomes.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and applicable regulations.

• Deliver compassionate, professional care while maintaining appropriate boundaries in a secure correctional environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Wisconsin.

• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.

• Appropriate prescriptive authority and credentials required for the position.

• Experience in psychiatric or behavioral healthcare preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.

• Commitment to professional ethics, patient dignity, and quality mental healthcare.
