POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor, this position is responsible for guaranteeing the cleanliness of equipment and work areas. Ensures trash removal activities in the interior and exterior of the facility are executed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Sweeping/mopping of floors where needed.

· Pick up fruit and leaves from floors including under sizer and put into rolling trash cans.

· Maintain Bin dump area clean and free of fruit and leaves on floor and Dumper belts.

· Place RPC (containers) under line where fruit falls off.

· Empty full RPC’s into rolling juice cans

· Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.

· Sanitize fruit processing equipment such as conveyor belts, pack tables, and brushes.

· Clean rollers on inspection/grade tables when changing commodities.

· Maintain sanitation equipment in a properly working order and sanitized condition.

· Understand chemical titration, preparation and intended usages following specific guidelines and safety measures.

· Follow standard operating procedures and cleaning schedules to execute sanitation tasks.

· Follows Safety Procedures and maintains a safe work environment.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENT

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 6 months or more related experience in food manufacturing environment or packing house preferred.

• Reports to: Sanitation Supervisor
• Hourly Pay Rate: $17.50
• Schedule: Ability to work any day and/or shift primarily nights, weekends, and holidays.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud. Temperature in the work site can vary and can get hot due to outside climate or cold due to the cold storage area. Ability to work in production/warehouse/shipping areas 100% of the time.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl under the pack line. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be in and out of a cold storage and experience a change in temperature ranging from 32 degrees or more. Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), at all times.
