Full Job Description
We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Senior Billing Specialist to lead our billing operations and ensure accuracy across our revenue cycle. In this role, you will take ownership of complex invoicing, resolve high-level discrepancies, and help modernize our billing processes.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience in corporate billing or accounts receivable, possesses advanced Excel skills, and enjoys mentoring junior team members. You will work closely with our accounting and finance leadership to drive efficiency and protect the company's financial health.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Manage Complex Billing: Oversee the end-to-end billing process, including preparing, verifying, and distributing complex high-volume client invoices.
  • Resolve Escalations: Research, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated billing discrepancies, disputed claims, and past-due accounts.
  • Audit & Reconcile: Perform regular billing audits to ensure financial accuracy, internal compliance, and adherence to client contracts.
  • Support Month-End Close: Assist the accounting team with month-end reconciliations, aging reports, and revenue recognition tracking.
  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the billing workflow and help implement automation or software upgrades.
  • Team Mentorship: Act as a subject matter expert to train and guide junior billing and clerical staff.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

  • Experience: 3+ years of dedicated experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a corporate accounting environment (Required).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and experience using ERP/Billing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred (Equivalent experience accepted).
  • Core Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
