Our flagship asset, the Plutonic Gold Belt in Central Western Australia, currently produces approximately 85koz of gold annually and is positioned for significant growth over the coming years. With three new mining projects planned across the 40km Plutonic Gold Belt and a strategy focused on expanding production through our existing processing infrastructure, this is a unique opportunity to influence the future direction of a growing multi-mine operation.

Reporting to the Technical Services leadership team, the Senior Geotechnical Engineer will provide technical leadership across our underground and open pit operations. Working closely with Mining Engineers, Geologists and Operational Leaders, you will drive geotechnical best practice, manage ground control risks, support mine planning and mentor a developing geotechnical team to deliver safe, efficient and profitable mining outcomes.

  • Oversee ground support design, excavation stability, geotechnical mapping, structural interpretation and seismic monitoring.
  • Manage geotechnical data, reporting, QA/QC processes and compliance requirements.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers while promoting geotechnical best practice across the site.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Degree qualifications in Geotechnical, Mining or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 6-10+ years' experience in underground hard rock geotechnical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of rock mechanics, ground support design and ground control management.
  • Experience supporting mine planning, production and operational teams.
  • Proficiency with geotechnical software including Deswik and the Rocscience Suite.
  • Sound understanding of WA mining legislation and safety requirements.
