Software Engineer

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain software and web applications using .NET framework and C#
• Write clean, well-documented code adhering to established standards and guidelines
• Participate in build reviews and code reviews, providing technical mentorship and constructive feedback  
• Collaborate with team members and collaborators to understand functional requirements and plan solutions
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation strategies
• Estimate work resources accurately and communicate timelines and dependencies
• Design and develop SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity
• Work with structured data formats (CSV, JSON, XML) and external file-based data feeds (FTP/SFTP)
• Implement data validation, transformation, and error-handling logic
• Fix production data issues and perform root cause analysis
• Communicate technical issues, solutions, and recommendations to team members and collaborators
• Find opportunities to improve application security, performance, and maintainability
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance productivity

 

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of professional experience building applications using C# and .NET framework
• 3+ years of professional experience with SQL Server database design, development, and optimization
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
• Experience with web application development using ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Flexibility to work at least half of a scheduled shift to coincide with US business hours (Central time zone)
• Experience with structured data formats (CSV, JSON, XML) and external file-based data feeds (FTP/SFTP)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude)
• Experience with issue-tracking tools (Jira, FreshService, Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of modern web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and/or Power Automate 
• Experience with Sabre GDS or similar global distribution systems (TravelPort, Amadeus)
