About the role
Join our Sonography Team (Ultrasound tech) and provide diagnostic medical ultrasound exams. You will prepare patients for procedures, explain the examination process, assess image quality, and maintain patient comfort and safety throughout the exam. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to assist in diagnosing and treating medical conditions while providing compassionate care and maintaining a positive patient experience.

What You Will Do
Validate patient order and review relevant prior imaging
Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct ultrasound exams in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization, patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures
Consistently follow hospital policy to correctly identify patients and communicate and explain exam in a manner appropriate to the patient's ability to understand
Perform ultrasound examination in accordance with departmental protocols while utilizing critical thinking skills and independent judgment to ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological and clinical conditions are accurately captured
Completed structured reporting document, identify exam limitations, assure images are uploaded to PACS and review exam with radiologist as needed
Perform, follow protocol, and maintain competency for High Level Disinfection procedures </
