About the role

Are you a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with diverse abilities—while maintaining flexibility in your schedule? Upstate Caring Partners is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team on a per diem basis, providing services residentially and within our Article 16 clinic. This is a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality, person-centered care in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

This role is ideal for someone who values autonomy, collaboration, and the chance to work with a diverse population in both home-like and clinical settings. Whether you're looking to supplement your current role or re-enter the field with flexibility, this position offers rewarding work and a chance to make a lasting difference.

Core Responsibilities

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Upstate Caring Partners, you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals improve their communication and swallowing abilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments of program participants.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
  • Educating individuals, families, and interdisciplinary team members on therapy goals, methods, and progress.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program regulations.
  • Supporting departmental operations, including equipment adaptation and supply management.
  • Assisting with staff orientation and participating in agency-wide initiatives.
  • Delivering services in both residential settings and through our Article 16 clinic, ensuring continuity of care and accessibility.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is clinically skilled, empathetic, and committed to excellence. Ideal candidates will have:

  • A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • A valid New York State license and registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience with dysphagia is preferred.
  • A valid NYS driver’s license.
  • A collaborative spirit and a passion for helping others thrive.

As a per diem team member, you’ll enjoy the flexibility to create a schedule that works for you, while still benefiting from a supportive work culture and access to valuable resources. If you're ready to bring your clinical expertise and compassionate care to a team that values both, apply today!
