We are looking for passionate individuals who are ready to help us build and scale resilient infrastructure that supports our global operations and innovative product suite.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of our core data center architecture. You will play a critical role in ensuring our infrastructure is scalable, highly available, and secure.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of hands-on engineering experience and architectural vision, with broad expertise in storage systems, cross-platform OS administration, virtualization, and server hardware lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Center Architecture & Strategy: Design, deploy, and manage scalable data center infrastructure. Evaluate current physical and virtual environments to recommend and implement structural improvements.
- Storage Administration: Manage and optimize enterprise storage area networks (SAN), network-attached storage (NAS), and backup solutions to ensure data integrity, performance, and availability.
- Systems Administration (Windows & Linux): Deploy, configure, and maintain both Windows Server and Linux (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu) operating systems, ensuring environments are patched, secure, and performing optimally.
- Virtualization Management: Architect and administer enterprise hypervisor and/or container services including virtual machine provisioning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Hardware Lifecycle Management: Plan and execute data center wide hardware refreshes across server, storage, and network. Manage capacity planning, vendor coordination, rack-and-stack operations, and physical server decommissioning.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor data center health, network performance, and system resource utilization. Serve as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents.
- Documentation & Compliance: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architecture, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Site Inspection and Inventory: Maintain global site inventory and detailed designs using a combination of remote hands and travel to colocation and manufacturing locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, data center architecture, or a similar systems engineering role.
- Virtualization: Strong, hands-on administrative experience with virtualization ecosystems (e.g., vCenter/ESXi, Openshift/Openstack, Nutanex).
- Operating Systems: Proven expertise in administering, tuning, and troubleshooting both Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Storage: Solid understanding of enterprise storage administration, storage protocols (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS), and data protection strategies.
- Hardware: Demonstrated experience managing server hardware lifecycles, including planning and executing large-scale hardware refreshes and upgrades.
- Networking: Fundamental knowledge of data center networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, switching/routing, load balancing).
- Data Center: Experience managing physical installation and configuration of racks/power/cooling/cross-connects in coordination with colocation providers.
- Infrequent Travel: Support quarterly travel to global data center and manufacturing locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Ansible) for infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Openstack Admin, VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Linux+ or RHCE, CCNA).
