Sr. Electrical Engineer (Design)

Job Description

• Design LV/MV power distribution, auxiliary substations, emergency and standby power (generators, UPS), lighting, earthing, bonding and lightning protection.
• Prepare and check load schedules and calculations: voltage drop, short circuit, protection coordination, lighting and earthing.
• Manage interfaces with traction power, signalling, telecoms, SCADA, tunnel ventilation, MEP, fire protection and civil.
• Prepare design packages for DEWA, ADDC/TAQA and Civil Defence submissions.
• Produce and review design reports, specifications, single line diagrams, layouts and supplier submittals.
• Provide remote technical support during construction, testing and commissioning, including responses to site queries.
• Mentor junior engineers and support the UAE team in technical discussions with the client and consultants when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. A master's degree or chartered status is a plus.
• 10–15 years of electrical design experience, mostly on rail, metro or HSR projects.
• Hands-on design experience across stations, tunnels, viaducts, cut-and-cover and at-grade sections.
• GCC or UAE rail project experience is preferred.
