Job Summary

The Sr. HW Engineer (System) will design and develop communication hardware for 5G and IoT modules, focusing on circuit design, high-speed interfaces, power integrity, and system integration. The position reports to the HW System Team Leader and collaborates with global partners in telecom and automotive sectors. This position also contributes to mass-production readiness through validation, reliability testing, and technical documentation.

Objectives & Responsibilities

• Design digital and power circuits for 5G/IoT wireless modules using platforms such as Qualcomm SDX75 and MDM9x07.
• Perform PDN (Power Delivery Network) simulations and optimize power integrity and PCB layout performance.
• Develop and validate high-speed interfaces including USB, PCIe, LPDDR, Ethernet, SPI, I²C, and UART.
• Support PCB layout activities, including LGA pad design and system-level integration.
• Collaborate on smart antenna design and RF-related hardware integration tasks.
• Conduct reliability and environmental tests (ESD, thermal, humidity) and prepare board-level verification plans.
• Perform failure analysis (FA) and root cause analysis (RCA), providing corrective action proposals.
• Design and integrate Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules such as WCN7851 (Wi-Fi 7) with external partners.
• Create and maintain test scenarios, design documents, and validation reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of practical experience in circuit design or hardware development for 5G, IoT, or related wireless systems.
• Proficiency in PDN simulation and power integrity optimization.
• Skilled in high speed interface design (USB, PCIe, LPDDR, Ethernet, etc.).
• Experience in LGA layout related integration.
• Hands on experience with reliability testing (ESD, thermal, temperature-humidity testing) and Failure Analysis (FA/RCA).
• Familiarity with Qualcomm platforms.
• Proficiency with Altium or equivalent hardware design tools.
• Experience collaborating with global customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Qualcomm hardware platforms.
• Prior leadership in industrial development and execution of large scale OEM programs.
• Ability to apply hardware analysis tools for thermal modeling and EMI simulation.
• Background in industrial reliability design.
