Moeller Precision Tool is seeking a skilled Surface Grinder / Wire EDM Operator to join our team in Ayr, Ontario. In this role, you'll manufacture high-precision tooling components using surface grinding and Wire EDM equipment in a clean, climate-controlled facility. Compensation ranges from $22-$29/hr based on skills, experience, and overall qualifications. Pay & Benefits

• Starting pay of $22.00 - $29.00/hr (based on experience)
• Overtime paid at 1.5× after 40 hours

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate manual surface grinding equipment
• Perform precision grinding of tool steel components
• Work with fixtures, blocks, and tooling setups
• Set up and operate Wire EDM machines to machine precision components
• Perform machine adjustments, offsets, and program verification
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Hold tight tolerances and maintain high-quality standards
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
• Support machining and tooling operations as needed

What You Need

• 2+ years of machining, surface grinding, tool & die, or Wire EDM experience
• Hands-on experience with manual surface grinding equipment and Wire EDM preferred
• Experience with Mitsubishi, Makino, Fanuc, or similar Wire EDM equipment is a plus
• Experience working with tool steel strongly preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Experience maintaining tight tolerances on precision components
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• 45-50 hours/week, including regular overtime opportunities
