About the role

About the job

The AI Experience (AIX) Product Framework team builds the foundational frameworks and user-facing architectures that power Google's next-generation, AI-first Search experiences. We are evolving Search by modernizing and scaling these core platforms to enable new interactive journeys across all AI surfaces.

As a Tech Lead Manager, you will lead a high-performing team of software engineers. You will set the architectural goal and drive technical execution for both existing and next-generation platforms, while mentoring and developing the careers of your engineers. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering manager or a senior technical leader ready to transition into people management, taking ownership of a critical, fully-staffed team. Your influence will extend across Search as you partner with Product Management, UX, and horizontal platform teams. You will be a key technical voice, responsible for communicating strategy and presenting milestone launches to senior leadership.

In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on. In joining the Search team, you'll have an opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
