About the role

Some important details :

Warehouse Address: 25 Aero Drive NE Calgary, T2E 8Z9, AB

Shift Time: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Some of what you will do:

Responsible for daily warehouse activities, which includes the direction of warehouse employees to ensure that all job tasks are performed as effectively and efficiently as possible in a manner that meets customer service standards, productivity and quality goals.

Specifically, you will:

  • Efficiently direct all job tasks within the operation in a manner that increases productivity and meets workload targets before the end of shift.

  • Resolve production and personnel issues during shift and reports necessary problems to Warehouse Supervisor.

  • Administer company policies and represent Staples in a positive and professional manner.

  • Ensure housekeeping standards and equipment maintenance.

  • Ensure all Health and Safety guidelines are enforced.

Qualifications:

Some of what you need:

  • Previous warehouse experience including operating warehouse equipment is required preferred.

  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations; product knowledge would be an asset.

  • Effective organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills that would allow for the creation of positive working relationships.

Additional Requirements Information:

Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity is needed to perform the essential duties of the job:

  • The employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee may lift, lower, or carry products up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand.

  • The employee may operate warehouse equipment. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
